FALL NEWS
We are off to a great start! The children and myself are looking forward to Open House this Thursday night from 6:30 to 7:30 in Room 210. Everyone is welcome, especially your children.
Our stories that we wrote about ourselves are a big hit. Everyone who goes by our door stops to read them. We have gotten so many compliments.
We have anxiously been awaiting the arrival of our butterflies. We have about 5 chrysalises that are ready to hatch. We actually saw one caterpillar turn into a chrysalis. It was amazing how quickly it happened.
SCHOOL SUPPLIES
If possible please send in with your child crayola thick markers, twisties, and glue sticks thick ones or 3 small ones.
READING
The children have been taking their level books home on a daily basis. I am very pleased with their progress. Please sign their reading log each night and return it daily. Many of the children are choosing their own books to read. If for some reason your child takes the wrong level please let me know. Many times it may be an easier or more difficult book for them to read, because they are excited about a particular book. Please discourage your child from using their fingers when they read and pointing to a word. Enjoy listening to your child read!
